What Wing Weave stores, what it sends, and the basic terms for using it.

March 30, 2026 Wing Weave Feedback

In your browser

Wing Weave stores some data locally so the game can remember you.

  • Your chosen name and the claim token tied to it.
  • Your best ascent and the date it was reached.
  • Your quality setting, session ID, onboarding state, progression state, profile state, hint flags, and wing selections.
  • Debug or owner flags, if you deliberately enable them.

On our side

  • Leaderboard. Your chosen name, ascent, date, optional tier mark, and claim token. Claimed names usually fade after about 60 days of inactivity.
  • Recovery. A profile snapshot keyed by a hash of your player token. It can include your name, player token, progression state, best ascent, onboarding state, and related profile data. Profiles are kept about 60 days. Recovery codes are kept about 30 days or until redeemed.
  • Run traces. A pseudonymous session ID plus ascent, distance, speed, stage, death context, build and tier values, and other flight and performance data. Plain player names are not stored here. These traces live in a capped rolling list.
  • Feedback. If you use the feedback page, Wing Weave stores your session ID, optional name, source, device type, control method, play-again answer, message text, version, and date. Raw user-agent strings are not kept. Feedback also lives in a capped rolling list.

Analytics and services

Wing Weave uses Vercel Web Analytics for cookieless traffic measurement. Vercel describes this as a short-lived request hash that resets daily, rather than traditional cookies.

Wing Weave also relies on Vercel for hosting, Upstash Redis for server-side storage, and Google Fonts for Quicksand. Those services may process technical request data while delivering the site.

Not used

  • No payments or checkout.
  • No password accounts.
  • No behavioral ad trackers.
  • No cookie banner in the current build.

Why we keep it

  • To remember your local settings and progression.
  • To accept and display leaderboard entries.
  • To support recovery and movement across devices.
  • To study balance, stability, onboarding, and failure points.
  • To read feedback and improve the game.

Your choices

You can stay fully local by avoiding score submission, skipping recovery, and not using the feedback page. You can also clear site storage in your browser at any time.
